On a htx-202 handheld when you get a err2 pll lock what can be done to unlock it or does it have to be sent out for repair.Is this something that can be fix with it not being sent out

err2 pll unlock code.
ERR2 indicates a PLL Unlocked Condition. The radio gives this error if the PLL alignment is off or if the transmitted signal interferes with the internal PLL frequency. This error has been reported most frequently when using the supplied "rubber ducky" antenna with either a high-power battery pack or with an external DC source.
if the PLL alignment is not in question then the cause is usually rf leaking in through the dc supply wiring. The quick fix for this is to add a small (.01 uF or so) cap inside the radio across the battery conections to the main board. using an external antenna when using an external dc power source will also prevent this error code condition.
