Ray Jefferson CB

A friend of mine from work has given me a Ray Jefferson Model 740 CB. He says its been sitting in his garage for years and never uses it. Does anyone know anything about this brand of radio? And more specifically this model radio? Pro's & Cons? Is it worth doing any mods to it?
