I have an RCA VH126N Television rotor that I use for my 2 meter beam. I noticed it's not turning, so I pulled the top lid on the control box and found a resister that has come loose. It is attached to the transformer on one end, but I don't know where the loose end goes.

Link to rotor:

Pic showing loose resister:

Thought if anyone had this model they could pop the top and tell me where the darned thing goes.

Thanks

Have the same controller and assoicated rotator for a Maco V-Quad.

My controller was manufactured in 2008.

My resister is actually covered in a partially shrink wrap link insulation which is soldered to Terminal #3 (the black wire -black/red/white combination- that the rotator wire connects too).

If you look closely at it, it should show signs of previous soldering.

There is also another resister that comes off that coil on the adjoining corner.... just underneath that shrink-wrap like insulation.

Much Luck!

Thank you very much.

Mine has the shrink wrap as well, but i slid it off to make it easier to see. I will solder it this evening and report back.

Thanks for taking the time to help a guy out.

I was planning on taking the beam down anyway and replacing it with a nice high gain vertical. Once everything is down it'll be easier to troubleshoot.
Appreciate your help.

Now I need to decide what to put up.
