RCI 2990 or 2995DX?

I have had the 2990 radio, a matter of fact i have had 3 or 4 of them, but i want to see if the 2995DX is ANY BETTER in the recieve part and in the transmit part? Not that anything was wrong with the 2990, but i wanted to see witch one yall thought was better out of the 2! Those that have one or who have heard one knows what im talking about!

2995 seems to have a much cleaner audio output on sideband as far as power no difference i like the 2995 better ...... just my thought .............

so the difference is, the 2995DX has better audio on ssb. as to where the 2990 has less better audio but has echo? they both use 2Xsc2290s...right?.....

No I don't believe the 2990 has any echo. None of the RCI 29XX's have echo.

The 2990 was the earlier model and had power supply problems due to no forced cooling.

That has been corrected with the newer 2995DX. I have one and like it fine. The 95DX also gives you 12 meters and the entire freq. range is 24.000~32.000mhz.
