Hi I trying to buy the rci2995dx base radio, but I have some doubts:
Which is the real frequency range that it could cover?
Could it be modified to cover 11 meters?
Disadvantages of being modified?
Which could be a Good antenna for this radio?
Which is the difference with respect to the rci2995?

Any other radio able to cover 10, 11 and 12 Meters?

May I need radio operator license to buy this RCI2995dx at US?

Does anybody know some addresses of radio shops at Laredo Tx Or Mc Allen Tx or near?

What is your opinion of the usage of Dynamic Speech Processor or Echo boards?

Hello
I have a Ranger RCI 2995DX and it works 24.000mhz-32000mhz.

Im very satisfied with the radio but i have modified it to work with a external powersupply because the inbuilt powersupply didnt like the european 220V 50hz. Its even better now because a inbuilt powersupply often give certain complications as interference, humming etc.

Good luck with the selection of a new radio, if you are not sure what to choose, buy them all :D
