I work in a studio. With microphones that cost thousands of dollars and very high end equipment. The Silmic II caps are nothing more than snake oil.
Put in a high quality Nichicon cap and there is absolutely no difference in sound quality. As for the tantalum caps you are subbing a non polar cap for polarized cap.
