My money grubbing state eliminated the previously free yearly $20 tag fee and $35 specialty tag fee for ham radio license plates to help raise more money to reduce budget shortfalls. They used to be free as hams provide a public service during emergencies. I understand other states have done this too.

I'm stuck with the $20 tag fee but they can have my ham tag back.

Savings....$35 My outrage.....priceless:tongue:

$249.00 EXCISE TAX
$15.00 ON-LINE REGISTRATION FEE....you can't go to the BMV and get your plates anymore!!!!!!! GOV FIRED HALF THE STAFF:angry:

Now you know why I do not have CALL PLATES...$35.00 extra!

It seems that a lot of us in the midwest are paying too much for taxes, we elect too many democrats and don't tax the rich near enough. I hated Wisconsin's former governor Doyle, but it seems the current governor hasn't got the balls to do what is needed to bring a lot of manufacturing back to Wisconsin, make it right to work, so the unions have to prove they are worth something to employees to be able to collect dues

Everyone has to do their part, I work in farming and I don't see anyone offering me tax exemption for feeding America year round so don't fucking cry about some stupid hobby saving you a couple bucks.
