We have relocated to a country home and are covered up with Red Wasps & Hornets. I have been disappointed for years with the Jet Sprays for bees that they have in the stores. I remember when these first came out 30 years or so back. The first generation sprays were awesome. You would hit the bees and they would drop to the ground and be dead quickly. Somewhere along the line the formulas got changed and the current stuff is wimpy AF. So I hit the googler for Reviews and found this one. The Spectracide in the stores sucks - but they have a PRO version that's not sold in stores that I have seen but it is available on Amazon. I was going to try a single can but that seller was out of stock. The reviews on the PRO formula were excellent so I ordered a case of 12. Came in today and this stuff must be of the original formula variety. Hit some wasps and they dropped straight to the ground and quickly died. So if you're needing this, give this a try. I did not do any searches to see where else you can get it but it is on Amazon.

If you live in an area where it is illegal to carry tear gas, mace, pepper spray, or bear repellent that wasp spray make an excellent substitute. One lady had been raped by her soon to be ex-husband and in that state husbands can not be charged with the rape of a spouse and the police dept. would not do anything. She filed an E.P.O. against him. When he found out about that he went to teach her a lesson. When he approached her while she was outside of her house. She was aware of his approach because her was cursing and screaming at her. She warned to leave and he kept coming at her. She reached into her tool caddy and pulled out a can of wasp and hornet spray and hosed him in the face with it. He collapses the police are called and the husband was taken to the hospital given the antidote for the poison washed up then taken to jail for violating the E.P.O.
The spray is very effective and even if the individual gets up and runs away they will be found sooner or later when the go to the ER for treatment.

1. plastic soda bottle.
2. scissors.
3. string for hanging.
4. tape.
5. bait (balsamic vinegar, flat soda, fruit, beer, wine, or fruit juice)
6. a tablespoon/less of dish soap mixed in.

Had to do this recently. Save your $$$ from buying pesticides. Turn your garbage into a trap you can build for free AND IT WORKS!!! So easy to do, even a caveman can do it. Or perhaps - even a wired weasel. lol

I have to say I like pesticides, I like to kill every living thing in the house and yard that’s considered a pest. I’d love to fog something under my house, I have spiders big enough to ride on around here.

And they’re brave. They jump at you. They also look funny as hell running across the garage floor on fire where I’ve taken the torch and set them ablaze. Yeah, bet you won’t jump at me again, will you.

They look funny going up the wall on fire too, until they fall into your rag basket... that kinda sucked.

Fortunately no, that was the brand new and unused box. Stupid spider falling into my box of new rags on fire... made me waste my fire extinguisher, haha.

Good thing I used to work on restaurant hoods and fire suppression systems, only need nitrogen to recharge that extinguisher after you clean the valve and refill.

FWIW, that’s what they keep on hand in the South Texas brush country. Killer Bees aren’t a media creation.

Years ago while living in Florida flying ants would invade the house and make life miserable. So off to the hardware store for a bug zapper. Yeah right it only lasted two days as the high voltage step up transformer died.

The commercial building next door was changing out there old 1950's lights for new modern lights. I found a few 13 Kilo Volt transformers in the dumpster, man they were really heavy, were these the older light transformers now being replaced?

The old transformers worked like a charm, but the bug zapper body had to be cut apart and made larger, and openings make larger, and the probes made farther apart so as not to arc from the moisture in the air. Flying ants, moths, flies, bee's, bugs, creepy crawlers, you name it met their match with the new bug zapper. It was entertainment for a few of us as you weren't going to listen to the radio or even watch TV with the EMI/RFI interference this thing through out. I had to brief the kid now not to mess with this thing as it wasn't from this earth in bug zapping performance.
