Recommend an antenna analyzer

Getting this thing to produce data and actually understanding it aren’t one and the same. Lol.

Looking at my example, it looks like my dipole is centered in the CB band in both reflected power and reactance...which would be a good thing except that’s not what I intended. Should have been tuned higher. But, I’m also measuring at the far end of the feedline...I’ll have to play and see how much that changes things.

President Texas on the pickup looks good. Tuned where I wanted it, and shows a 2.0 or less across 1mhz. Not as flat as it appeared on my SWR meter, however.

And now...a bit of an inconsistency.

I’ve now connected it to about everything I own...and while connected to a dummy load, the resistance seemed way off.

So, I zero and cal, and check the dipole again, as I saved the photos here. Antenna now shows lowest SWR, and a big dip in the logmag at almost exactly 27.480. And actually makes much more sense.

Looking for inconsistencies, Ive zeroed and calibrated several times with no more changes...perfectly consistent.

I don’t know what I did wrong, but it must have been a faulty initial calibration. All I can do is keeping playing with it and see if anymore inconsistent results pop up.
