Unlike my experience with the ebay Retevis purchase, I have to say I bought two of the RA25 mobile units on Amazon and am well pleased with ease of use, programming and indeed power output. I may have got a hot one or it's the result of my p/s running at 15v I should probably back it down a bit someday but the 20w rated radio is doing 28 watts @15v w a 1.4 SWR ON 467.650 (drops SWR rapidly going lower in band so clearly just my antenna frequency range at play and reports are excellent on audio quality and signal.
I was told thats an extremely natural sounding audio. When I told them what it is was, they were surprised (these local GMRS guys are mostly hams).
At any rate was also able to enable transmit on FRS channels (not saying you should or shouldn't just saying I could) which was a plus. Setting up repeaters was too easy. Extremely satisfied with these little units. One will be going in my truck next it's here I just was busy installing base and antenna and lmr400 on house. Don't mind the focus or the mess just a quick idea of size etc.20241219_125816.jpg20241219_125805.jpg Screenshot_20241125_164503_Amazon Shopping.jpg

So I have a cobra 138xlr and the meter dose not work... It dose not key up and signal dose not work.... It is not stuck it the meter moves freely. now wires are resoldered on both ends...So now that do I look at. Could it be a diode or a transistor?
