I have a old Barjan noise cancelling mic I like the look & feel of it how hard would it be to rewire it to make it a better sounding mic.

This mic is heavy it weighs more than 2 of my cobra noise cancling mic

Those mic's are ok fine. They have a weight in them , looks like a lead piece in there ? anyway , looks like 4 wire mic from your pictures , red looks like audio , ground shield is ground , the other two wires are TX and RX , I don't understand what you mean to rewire it to make it better ? I could understand you asking what kind of radio would you like to wire it to. SK

Hmmmm , what kind of radio is it and how might it be tuned ? not all mic's are created equal (unfortunatly) and some sound better on other radios and the way they are tuned can make a differents as well.

It's very possible that you might be asking a little bit to much from that mic DJ , especially concerning the 2000 you will be using . IM not putting down your mic , but there are better , and if it's a NC type mic you are look at using , I think the 636 Astatic or the RK56 Telex/Turner might be a better way to go for you. It's kind of hit and miss with many mic's and radios and there tunings. Even your own voice can have something to do with it. You might even want to conceder one these Texas Ranger SRA 158 Stock mic's , they are very nice with very good quailty voice reproduction. Very solid and weighted down.

"People tell me the mic sounds a little muffled when I key up I want to make sound best as possable."

add a .1uf in series with the audio lead exiting the element or anywhere in the mic audio line to get rid of the colored bass and increase the high frequency response.
