thanks for the replys guys...
dxman- i have not grounded the body to the frame yet that is my next step and its a s10 blazer im not sure i mentioned that before,i have grounded the frame to the motor wich is grounded to the alt casing creating a absolute ground (i found that one out and it seemed to cut down the idle issue a little).ive got to figure out how to bond the rad to the core support somehow didnt know about doing it

bandit- the alt i have is a 100amp model and my blazer is all power cept the seats. it does it when the air is off or on. it also doesnt drop the rpm it makes it SPEED UP about 100-150 rpm. the make ad244 alt that im trying to find a core for that is almost bolt and play that i can get into 170 amps as i plan on adding a few off road lights. i never really run my radio past 3/4 the way on the power knob and it doesnt seem to matter where i have it.
my battery is about a year old the 21st of this month its a exide 850cca.

again thanks for all the help, ill get some pics taken of the battery and hood bonding and install of the radio to see if it helps
