Hello, I just purchased a Astatic Road devil microphone RD104E 4 pin . Trying to connect a 5 pin din male to A Sears Road talker40 model 934.38081700 . Can any one explain what numbers are the pins looking at the end that gets sodiered with the pins arcing to the bottom and the wiring diagram for this mic to this radio? Thank you whom ever can help

So what we do know on the current RD104E if it is wired 4 pin cobra

Current wiring pins
1-shield/common
2-audio
3-tx
4-rx

So now we need to know the mic wiring for your sear road talker. A quick web search should yield you some good results.

Remember that the pin order on the 5-pin DIN plug is a bit counterintuitive. Luckily, the pin number will be molded into the plastic insulator body next to each pin. Might need a magnifier and a bright light to read them.

The Astatic mike wiring book at cb tricks says:
white to pin 4
shield and blue, both to pin 1
red to pin 3
black to pin 5
yellow wire not used if your cord has one, just clip it off flush with the jacket.
