I got one and so far not impressed a bit. Was told it sounded like a stock mic on the lee and that it sounded muddy on the 95T. Have not tried it on the 88 or the Grant XL yet. The one thing I do like about this mic is your talkback wont squeal. I guess due to the lack of audio. Some of you using one of these mics tell me what is so great about them? I like the Road Devil much better.

ive never had anyone tell me mine sound like that.but try turning mic gain down
a little.the road devil will be a bit louder cause it amplyifed but for the money
of the road devil ya could do much better like a handheld d104 or rf limited mic.
also have someone talk on ya radio while you monitor on another cause there
definately a good mic

Power mic's anymore are no longer needed for me in the mobile , I dispise back ground noise period. Mic's tend to match radios and there tune ups or downs , one will sound good on one radio and not so good on another radio.

I like the RK-56 on both AM/SSB , along with stock mic's as well. I think there's a time and a place for a power mic but not very much for me base or mobile. As I said , it all depends on the radios tune up or down (meaning for an amp) Although the 575M6 was a good AM/SSB mic but I never had to turn the thing up rather then to just crack it open.

I tried the Road Devil and didn't like it , it just didn't suit me. I would rather run a 600 ohm coffin style stock mic over one of those. There's just a few variables concerning the mic used and the radio it's on. But then again , I don't want be over modualted to the point of no return either.

The Astatic 636 NC is a good mic as well.

i run a superstar 452 in mobile[no echo on] and it doesnt have much
back grond noise about as much as a stock mic.but with ALOT more audio
12oclock on mic gain is it.i didnt like the road devil either.try turning
down mic gain just little at a time probaly around 3oclock.
