i have a sears roadtalker 40 ssb model 934 38270700.
it was a hell of a radio untill it just stopped transmitting...i push the mic and nothing happens, the receive doesnt even cut out.
at first i thought it had to be the mic cord or plug but after cking it out i found it to be in good condition.
the relay doesnt click or do anything.
i took the plastic cover off the relay and i can manually close it and the radio works like its supposed to.
so the relay isnt getting excited or something.
does anyone know what to look for?
there is a power transistor close by but i dont know if that has anything to do with it.
just thought maybe someone knew what component to check ...maybe a certain resistor or cap
thanks for any info
