My galaxy s3's not picking up my voice when making calls (speaker phone on or off) .
I have to be right up on the mic located at the bottom of the phone (next to recharge receptical) in order to be heard.
I tried to use the digital recorder and same issue. The recorder will record my voice at any distance but like the phone calls unless I'm right on top of it my voice is barely audible.
I noticed the video recording sound is fine so it obviously uses a different mic.
I tried cleaning out the mic with a cotton swab but the issue continues.
I tried changing the limited voice options offered through the phones settings but that didn't help.
I removed the battery and also restated the phone several times with no change.
Has anyone had this issue with their s3 and were you able to fix it? Any suggestions?
I did purchase the one year extend warrant.
It's just my luck I bought the phone from my local radio shack.
The RS i purchesed it from is still opened but I'd hate to have to loose my phone for any prolonged period.
Maybe I should give it the old automobile run over as the sales person told me my $25 extended warranty would cover that type of "accidental" catastrophic failure.
And if that were to happen I'd get a new phone.
I'd really like to rectify the problem myself.
