I've bought two versions of heat strink tubing.
The thin wall stuff works well for many applications.
Another type referred to as thick wall has a sticky goo over the inside surface. As it is heated and shrinks the stuff seals things in very well. It's ideal for outdoor connectors.

Thank you for that page. I made this thread because I don't always like my vhf whips bouncing around so to solve that shrink wrap keeps it from bending like a wet noodle

I do buy good quility antennas like comet and diamond Larsen etc. But sometimes when I feel like running monoband mode with a 5/8w antenna shrink stiffens up the whip.
Here's a comet sma24 with shrink wrap perfect for keeping the whip straight up but still has some room to swing
