Silver K Eagle Mic help!

Ok, i have a New Silver K Eagle mic. Im trying to get it wired up to the cobra 148 GTL. Here is what it is doing: You know how the radio receives before you put a mic in, It wil llet you receive "Just a little" and when you put your mic in it receives the proper way, kind of like a BOOST up in receive when you plug it in!



Well, when i plug mine in, it stays the same, just receive a little, BUT...... I am transmitting perfectly, just not receivieng!



I have it hooked up right (from what im reeding)

1=White

2=Shield

3=Black

4=Blue

5=Red



Yellow= Disconnected!





I went in and cleaned the points (did not need it0 but i did it just in case, and that did not help, so HMMMMMM

i need help with my Knight K Eagle mic im trying to find the info for the Vox add on for it anyone know anything about it?

Every 148gtl I have owned did not receive until the mic was plugged in. If you are getting receive without the mic plugged in then I would suspect a problem with the radio - not the mic. The wiring configuration you listed is the same that I have on file so I would say it is wired properly.

I didn't know there was an add-on required to use the VOX feature. I thought you locked the mic in the transmit position, activated the VOX switch on the mic then enabled and adjusted the VOX settings on your radio...
