Sirio has officially jumped the shark


my closest local has had one on his van for a good while, performs the same as the other 4000/5000 series antennas of similar length,

last time i saw light up antennas was the little neon bubbles that fixed to the tip of your antenna back in the late 70's.
 
Consider the effort to make the LED work, although in microamps mA - you still need to sample the power and block - read dissipate - all that power - to make the LED work right.

So if you use a simple 4-watt radio - you may lite it up in dry weather, but it might not in wet or in proximity to other overhead objects...

Just pretty much proves that if you have the $$$ Your Gas and Light - Power Bills will never be a problem...

What I did like was this method, so that at least it is using a beefier mount...

At least the LED's Cathode has a return path...
