The coil/guts to this antenna is almost the same as my Z-180. Thw whip length is just the same too. The real difference is having the ability to angle it down so you can drive thru the local hamburger joint. That's a plus . . .

Sirio recommends some ridiculous coax for ultra-high power use that cost waaay more than the antenna. But you can get away with using 12-15 ft of LMR-240/Ultra-Flex (~$17) and be safe to run nearly a kilowatt - if that is what you have in mind.
