i thought about using the wilson mag for mine, that was untill i seen the mag-145pl's construction. it would appear that it is mostly sealed against water intrusion with the aluminum sticker and the rubber boot on the bottom of the mag and on the top where the coax enters the mount it is sealed with a rubber gasket and O rings, not too shabby. i had to R&R my wilson 1000 mag 4 times in the last seven years due to rust....i bet the sirio mag lasts alot longer before you end up with any corosion issues.

it is also wider than the wilson mag witch is only 5' wide. the sirio mag is listed as 160mm or almost 6 1/2" wide and rated to hold the p 5000 series antennas up 70 mph.
