a local uses that antenna mag mount version with a sweet sixteen it works pretty good. how much was it? where did you buy it @ ?

Got it from H&Y electronics very fast shipping. the antenna was about 60.00 bucks plus shipping...

like I said before, I have one on the mag base an it works freeakin awesome! dead center of the roof on the mini van an have real low swr. Dodge caravans suck for mag mount antennas! LOL I have made many, many contacts with it! People tell me my signal is great and audio shines on ssb

i put it towards the rear you ever have same issue?i switched to a monkeymade mm9
and still had same issues swrs would raise towards the center.glad the sirio is working for ya!!!
Still using my Z-180. I have it on a Wilson mag mount too. Yeah; the whip is about 6 1/2 ft tall . . .

op:I tried running a Monkeymade also on a 4 mag set up an the swr's were freakin unreal! NO matter what I tried I could NOT get them down to normal. Hell, I couldnt get a 102" whip to low SWR with the 4 mag set up! Put the Sirio up an have a 1.1-1.3 through all 40 an a 1.4-1.6 on 10m
Mine is actually a little more to the back than dead center...LOL
Well swr is resonant 1.1 on 26.700 1.7 on 26.385 I cant remember to make it longer or shorter??? Would like to see about 1.3 or better.
Needs to be shorter.
Just remember that 24.9mhz is ~12m (~39 ft); so the wavelength is longer. ~28mhz is 10m (~33ft) and that wavelength is shorter than 11m. 11m is in between.
Soooo . . . as you go 'up' in frequency/mhz; the resonant length of an antenna becomes incrementally 'shorter'.
