Sirio Performer 5000 whip

I am needing a long whip for an antenna project and the Sirio replacement whip may fit the bill.

Does anyone happen to know, or even an approximation is welcome, the diameter at the heavy end?

I’m looking for something like a Wilson or Predator whip (thin and light), but having never seen one in person I suspect the Siro might be substantially heavier.

Ok...was thinking about an 8th, which is close to 3mm. Just need to make sure the Sirio isn’t too much bigger than that. I can make the hole bigger easy enough, but I want a slender/ soft whip

I measured it with my dial caliper and got 0.140" for the big end and .060" for the small end.

Yes sir, not a problem. One thing about the Sirio is that it doesn't have a ball on the end. It has a small rubber cap instead, if that makes any difference.

In that case you need the whip from a Sirio 4000. It is the same length but narrower diameter.

That plastic cover came off mine the first time I went through the drive through at the bank.

The end without the rubber tip would be an eye poker for sure. Could probably get a small Corona ball if needed.
