SO-239 Roof Mount

I bought a antenna that I am going to mount on the roof of a semi. So a mag mount wont work cause the cab is made of aluminum. So I am looking for a roof mount SO-239. I will post a link for what I need but am looking for a better place to buy than the UK. Any help would be appreciated. Nathan

It is a sirio. I have a not great picture but it might do.

I saw that link when I was looking but whenever I clicked on it I got a error message "page not private" guess I will have to keep messing with it

That is called a UHF mount not an SO-239 just FYI. It's a common mount in Amateur Radio antennas along with the NMO mount which is considered the best of the two.

In case he is searching other brands he would need the correct name so now he's on the right page anyway. Maybe the folks at Siro don't know the correct name so they made it up since it is an SO-239 connector. LOL {:>)

Thanks for your help. I started dabbling in the radio world a few years ago so I have a lot to learn. I had never heard of SO-239 mount but did a little research on Sirio's sight and that is what they called it so I tried the same name. Thanks for straightening me out.

Looks like a winner...His machine work is Top Notch!
Just hopefully the ALM sheet metal on your cab is thick enough to handle the load of the antenna and not flex or move if the antenna catches a tree... or/etc...
Not familiar with newer truck bodies.

I have heard good things about his mounts but have never had one. I have been thinking about putting a plate or I know some guys use a saw blade on the bottom side to disperse the torque of the antenna

As with any puck mount supporting the underside of the roof is a must. There is a lot of wind load causing the roofs sheet metal to flex.

I'm using this mount with LMR400uf. It only cost 5 bucks.
