I found this in my basement the other day when I was moving things in order to do some plumbing work. My basement is a disaster area and every once in a while I have a EUREKA!! moment when I find something useful that I had forgotten all about. This definitely falls into that category. I forgot all about having been given this about a decade ago. Back then I had visions of a homebrew AM transmitter but that interest has since waned somewhat. Nevertheless it was a EUREKA!! moment as I blew the dust off the crate it was in and reached inside to pull out the paperwork that was inside for the first time since I had it. Anyone remember of Hershel Radio Co. from Detroit Michigan? It must be really old because when was the last time you saw an RCA modulation transformer for a kilowatt input AM transmitter on special for $14.95 down from the outrageous price of $19.95?
I should put it on Ebay as NIC (New In Crate) Never used nor removed from shipping crate. At 40 pounds I could make a second killing gouging the buyer for shipping charges too.
