solar cycle 24

well like most operators iam awaiting for solar cycle 24 to peak conditions on 11 metres any one have any input on the cycle or a realistic date when we will start to hear some overseas skip

Still on the bottom between 2 cycles as it seems, even if it started today it will take a year or 2 to build up enough to work DX on almost daily basis on 10/11

Some sporadic E on 10 last year worked some nice DX that way.
But as it is now, still no confirmation cycle 24 has started, and it is already overdue.
Expectations are that when it is started the figures wil be higher as the last one, meaning better and more DX.

The only way is to see what happens...
Back to 160 - 20 then..

hi mike thanks for the link my friend i hope all is well with you and the family ive spoken with some fellow operators at home here they reckon it will be 2010 before we start to hear north america looking forward to that day when i hear those big stations from north america i really enjoy working stateside especially my location has lots of high mountains and quite close to the north atlantic ocean good dx stay warm

or possibly by 2012 we will just have to be patient at present in ireland all iam talking to is local stations christmas and into the new year were very poor
