Just about done all is left is to send the base of the key out for gold plating.

Before:

The wood base is pine nut with #223 stain and I used rattle can of high gloss stain
As you can see a router was used on the edges for a detailed look...

After:

Any recommendations on how to get the hardware cleaned up?
