Strait 4 pill pp100s Xforce 400hd possible bad relay or popped pill?

I would just kinda look everything over just to make sure you didn't miss something simple. If you have a trusted cb shop near you have them bench test the amp, maybe the radio too. If everything checks out then you know it's in the antenna, coax, jumper, or install.

If it is the amp I guess you will have to decide which way to go. The Toshiba 2sc2879 was discontinued several years ago. RF Parts has a small supply of the originals left, bad news is they are 65 bucks each. X-Force sells the pp100 for I think 35 bucks.

Yeah I hear ya. I know my antenna is 10/8 and strait I still use it with the radio itself no issues there got the swrs perfect however I was switching from mobile to base antenna but they both show good swrs

The Xforce website changed their wording now it says maximum amp put put deadkey 100w and mine was desdkeying 250 so that's what happened smh. I blew it up.

Yeah, the PP100 transistors are not anywhere near as rugged as the old Toshibas. Chances are they are toast. A matched set of 4 Toshiba 2879's are about 260 bucks.

If you put new transistors in, might wanna check tuning. Pp100 transistors tune a little different. Not all the capacitor parts may be the same needed for Toshiba 2879's.

If my pills are fried I'm gonna replace all four with toshibas I'll get my hands on them one way or another

It is an easy "fix". Toshiba's or PP100's. I have used both in a Texas Star 500 and 350.
they seem to be robust, but not as much as Toshiba's ...... And my tune for each came out almost the same into a dummy load.
