Well, the serial number is roughly 600 units prior to the one I sent in.Older radio? That does not sound right to me!!
They swapped the chassis and kept the same bezel, controls, and top and bottom sides. It does have a new serial #.Could it be they just swapped the main board? Maybe that is what they mean by new radio?
Less watts than before (70w vs 80w). But the quirky volume, rf gain, and squelch problems are gone.I assume you originally purchased from Tiny's? How does it perform now? Anything different?
Access the service menu and see what she'll doLess watts than before (70w vs 80w). But the quirky volume, rf gain, and squelch problems are gone.
Got her doing close to 80W again. I'm happy so far. Reports are great.Access the service menu and see what she'll do
They do sound nice box stock. The more I use mine the more I like it.Sounded fine to me 945.
A friend of mine was on a new V2 today. He said he just got it out the box today. It sounded good on the stock microphone. Not as loud as yours though, but a pleasing quieter to the ears sound. No changes on the menu.
I believe I've been hearing the same voice on and off lately. Matter of fact that voice was pretty continuous throughout the day today..... Window lickers and all those miserable little guy hack shops doings the swing kits.... only the low class talk on a splatter box...... it went on and on.....The other day as a cloud of dust from the west rolled into south Texas I heard a voice on channel 19 saying the Version 2 Strykers are a bigger splatterbox out of the box then the original Stryker. Then the voice was saying something about window lickers and Faraday cages, then the voice faded out. Maybe it was just the heat....
That's awesome, what mic are you running with it?I gotta post an update with the V2. I don't know if it's my imagination, or if these things need to be burned in, but the more I use this radio the better it gets. The ears are extremely good, and people are telling me the modulation is extremely loud, clean, clear and not overmodulated.
Talked to a ham operator on the west coast and he told me my audio was incredible. He was shocked when I told him it was a Stryker. So far, so good, folks! In another week or two I'll post another video of the power output.
