I got a Stryker 440hp and noticed the power
cord is pretty chinsey! 10 amp fuse also.
It is the same as a Cobra, NO? (pin config)

Sounds great, echo is awesome as is the talkback.
Not impressed with the output at all :(

It is just like any other dual final export.

If you're not seeing more than the average dual-final export, something isn't right somewhere. I've never seen one do less than 60 watts, and its usually higher.

I checked it and at 14.5v on a Palstar 2000a
It does 60-65w peak.
Can't check average because its not working on the meter.

Yo Kingduck where do you run your mic gain and what mic do you use?

I run the gain wide open with the key set at 10 watts, seeing around 50 to 55 watts pep but i don't have the limiter removed. Clipped i was seeing over 60 but the sound quality was very very poor so i put it back in. My friend runs one that has been clipped and at anything more than half way on the gain he sounds very over modulated and until he heard it for himself he did not think that clipping that radio was a bad thing.

Everyone runs their radio as they see fit but i like the way the Stryker sounds unclipped with a 10 watt key my self. Still very loud and a lot cleaner sounding then with a lower dead key, clipped or not. That extra 10 to 15 watts i saw on my meter with the limiter removed was not worth it!

You know i talked to a driver a few months ago that was talking on a 440 that someone had put a 2879 pill in the back instead of the factory pill. I don't know how he did it but that radio was a monster!
