Suitable replacement transistor for 9022a

boomer 600 - adjusting bias lead to a bad transistor on the bias board. Can somebody suggest a replacement? - UA7805c

Originally I thought it was a 9022a so that's what I posted in the title.

It is a very common 5 volt, fixed, positive voltage regulator, in a TO220 case, rated at 1.5 amps with the proper heat sinking.

7805=5 volt
7808=8 volt
7812=12 volt
7815=15 volt and so on
just google, UA7805, or LM7805,or L7805, lots of results.
Rat Shack used to have them by the handfuls.

back when Palomar was building real amps like the magnum line they at least put some heat sinks on them, these knockoffs are just tossed together....look at the leads in the amp that have scorch marks on them.
My hands are not steady enough to do fine soldering work anymore ( no more installing chipswitches for me) but that just looks sloppy.
