It’s not using a CB radio. X-ray generation is the simplest way but not a super high. They used wavelength (1 Angstrom = 24 Kvp, or 1×10-10 meter.) in Kilovolt measurements and not in Mhz since it’s too small.
A Linear Accelerator (aside from other particle accelerator) is one. They pumped in around 2.99 Ghz of microwave energy to resonate with the accelerator waveguide until bunching occurs thus (more of a big frequency multiplier) the output wavelength becomes a Megavolt (up to 25 Mv for medical radiotherapy and much more for research application) .
