i cant see the page youre linking to over there because im one of the folks banned from there . i got banned about 2 years ago for giving ampowerless crap when he was a protected sponsor there . then he was banned a few weeks later for doing bad business , i guess his sponsor payment bounced , LOL .

maybe i sould get a IP hider and a long stick....... hehehehe

I am an old CBER been in to this shit since the 70s, I still cant understand why you would pay big bucks for todays radios and let some "FOOL" Fuck with it inside. I am still using the JOHNSON radios I bought back then and they still work great!! MAYBE IAM BRAIN DEAD BUT I DONT THINK SO !! :headbang:headbang:headbang:headbang:headbang:headbang
 
Not all of it by any means, but a part of the frantic search for "up-grades" and 'mods' is the idea that you have to do something like that, or a "tweek & tune" to have a radio worth having. Since when does a manufacturer following the rules automatically mean their product isn't any good? Since when does being able to 'mod' something mean it's going to be better than it was before, especially when the one deciding that it's better doesn't have any particular knowledge or expertise in the subject? I mean, if the people who think of these modifications are so good, why ain't they being hired by the manufacturers?
I'm a bit skeptical about 'improvements' until I can see that they really are improvements. Is that pessimistic? I don't know, is it? It sort of makes good sense to me.

Not going to click that link, Michael Kersnowski (Mr Radioactive) is a partial owner of that site/forum and an admin there...what the hell do you expect?

A lot of forums are run that way, every hack technician has to have a place that is willing to protect them, just ask AMPOWER.

Can we just call this "The Deuce"? It's the mod in which you hand someone your radio, he clips a couple of "unnecessary" parts, you part with a couple of pictures of Andrew Jackson, and the tech punches you in the nuts twice?
