Quote:
Well Bubblepuppy YOU need to pull your head out of your @#%$ and or learn how to read ! I NEVER said I could modify a joker for more watts, not once,NEVER!! I said there are mods that can be done that was ALL I said. And yes there are, some can be done for added cooling, less distortion, better reliability,NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT OUTPUT POWER,NEVER !!!!! You truly are stupid! And as far as never seeing a Joker amp,LOL give me a break ,I have been in this bussiness since 1977,I have seen just about every amp made and about every model. What gets me about you and only a couple others is that I NEVER said Joker amps were bad,not at all quite, the contrary, they are great built, good power, fair distortion, reliable, etc.Thats all I am going to say on the subject,go re-read my imaginary posts where I said I could get more watts, then cry yourself to sleep !! enough on this subject,I am done

I know we have been through this but I must refresh.
Please tell me how you made my amplifiers run cooler, What did you do to make less distortion from my amps? And please tell all what you did to make them more reliable? If making them produce less wattage is what makes them more reliable then post that too. They are very reliable as it is. That is the reason people like them.
I will add this, what kills an amplifier other than common faults is large amounts of current draw across the transistors or improperly mounted transistors. Excessive current draw normally comes from high SWR, if the output match of the amplifier is not right it could come from that as well. Either of the 2 would explain excessive current draw. Bias supply can be a factor to but I am not at all worried about that in my amplifiers., may sound cocky but I went through pounds upon pounds of solder perfecting that design and I have a jug full of pills to prove it. I guess my point is this. As a transistor produces wattage and "draws" current it produces heat. If someone plays with the input and output tuning while using only a cheap wattmeter and the fingertips to feel the heatsink then one would tend to believe it is running cooler because of less current draw. (I hope this makes sense) Less watts equal less amps.. The reason I say this is because I am very confident that my amplifiers have optimum cooling and the only way to improve it would be with a *peltzer* (sp) between the pills and the heatsink. As mentioned before if he would share with me the "upgrades" I would send him a 5 pill amplifier for free. I am not interested because I beleive you have upgrades, I am interested because I call bull$h!t. I would like for to share the info with forum. I also would like to know what you are testing with that measures distortion. Also what are you testing with that says you have improved an amplifiers cooling properties? If it is your opinion well then people may have a concern with that. If I were you I would step up to the plate just to cover my a$$. Call me pulling cards but hey if the jacket fits?????
