Got one of these in new condition in a trade recently. Just got around to checking it out. These things work great !! 7 different mic plug variations on front. Just plug and play. Built in speaker. Runs on 12V. 8 position terminal strip on side for sticking bare wires in for unknown wiring arrangements. There are other brands of these things too and they look pretty similar. May just be the one unit with differing brand names on them. I can't be they sell so cheaply. I think you can get them on ebay for like $32. Cheap price for nice multi-purpose tester.
 

You can actually get them cheaper than that. I just sold one recently for $26 on ebay with a 3a regulated supply. I don't run any mobile stuff in the house, so I needed that to power it.

Anyway, the guy didn't pay so I relisted it. One sold for $12 a few hours before mine that sold for $15.50.

Those strip terminals can also be used for noise toys I guess, never tried. I used to play around with a bunch of different mics and yes, they are a great little item to have around on the cheap if you like playing with mics etc.

I finally decided to buy a 781 Heil and kept my Silver Eagle, but sold the tester and like 12 different mics.
