im not a fan of the swing kit at all, it is a waste of money in my book1 Give me a PPE mod or NPC-RC mod any day! Richard at pqnther's does GREAT work.

The way I do a 99 they do about 10w Bird from 2w carrier and about 35-40 peak. Similar to the way I tune Deltas, they are clean clear and loud.

I was told several times that a swing kit wasn't effective w/echo in a radio/that the echo throws of the signal or whatever.So many excusses I can't list, I like to run a Galaxy 99V mobile.(sold my last but plan on buying a replacement) I want the variable power to run my amp w/more swing than dead key.(7watt-RMS/BIRD-30watts MOD) I recently visited a site that sells this radio w/this mod. I run 25s/29s ....1000uf at 35 volts and about a 68 or so ohm resistor (I like 1 watters) TRB-1 echo board /RK-56 microphone .....base station on wheels sounding driving that special amp of ones choice , the added diode in 148s and Grant's along with the 949s/959s your (galorafied NPC Mod Swing Kits) are very nice sounding as well on the AM sides of those radios ......yeap !! they don't look really picture perfect on the scope ,but they seem to work well for me and many others , we don't talk to machines ,we talk to people and in the end , if I was to hear that I sounded like crap ? well then I would think about changing things about then.
switch kit sir i must say best reading yet about this npc-rc stuff, and i ran a shop for 18+years and the old stand by is what u wrote everything else i saw trying to make a radio swing loud and clear was either one and not the other . unless they went to the trouble of doing it the way u just described. IMHO!! just my 2 cents
