I run a meter inline all the time. I have two Daiwa CN801 type meters. One is a CN801HP and the other is the CN801HP3. Both are good from 1.8-200 MHz. The HP is good for 2000 watts and the HP3 is good for 3000 watts. I bought the HP3 to use on my eventual 6m amp which will run 1200 watts. I also have a Diamond SX-1000 that is good for 200 watts and is good basically from DC to daylight. LOL Actually it has two sensors to cover the range from 1.6 MHz to 1.3 GHz. I keep it inline with my 2m radio.
