Get yourself a good meter and check the radio too make sure SWR is low... (Below 1.3:1) before kicking your amp on.

Re-Cal your SWR meter everytime you make an adjustment OR power change...

Playing around like that I got a 1.05:1 Match with my Imax 2000 and Maco Shooting Star... Not 1.5 ... 1.05 ... With 1.2 KW running through the linear...

Adjust and re-adjust.... Grounding is paramount and definately needs to be on the top of the to-do list...

Adjust... Readjust...Readjust... The lower the better.
