Richard Hartman said he was checking the wrong pin. It was pin 10 disconnected not pin 18. (Post #3)

He still has a good chance of bringing back this classic. Personally I would do a full re-cap, an alignment and go from there.

I never power up a classic without changing all electrolytic first. But we are all different.
