If you had a college deferment you 'dodged' the draft? I happen to know quite a few 'draft dodgers' like that, and happen to be one too. I think it's just another 'sensationtalization', or trying to discredit someone. What about the people who were deferred because of their work? Are they 'dodgers'? Been there, done that too. I don't know of anyone who took the draft physical who didn't hope they flunked it. I also know of quite a few who didn't 'flunk', who had no thought of 'dodging' anything and who volunteered. Better wear those 'shoes' before you start spouting about them...

(Nugent claims) that 30 days before his Draft Board Physical, he stopped all forms of personal hygiene. The last 10 days he ingested nothing but junk food and Pepsi, and a week before his physical, he stopped using the bathroom altogether, virtually living inside his pants caked with excrement and urine. That spectacle won Nugent a deferment.
I suppose that's legal...and a little fake, as well.
If I was drafted, I'd like to think that I would have exhibited better behavior than that.
I'm a veteran...big deal! I don't expect people to constantly thank me on a daily basis for my service. I certainly don't bear a grudge against those that sought deferment legally, didn't serve or fled the country. I'm a Centrist and swing both ways
A MAN will stand firm on his beliefs or convictions and pay for it's cost...not shit and piss his pants for a week. BTW, I wouldn't want to wear those shoes.

As for Ted, some are late bloomers. He might have been a scared teenager that was afraid of guns or fighting. Now he's spent a lifetime preying on animals and acting tough for it trying to make up for his shamed youth.

I have always liked Ted Nugents Music. Jammed down to it many times in my hippie days. If I would have had a chance to see him in concert back then I would have.
As far as Ted's hunting adventures and his stance on guns and hunting:
I call complete bullshit!
He owns a hunting preserve in Michigan and will be your personal guide for $5,000 to hunt a Bull Bison.
You'll get one too, cause it's a "canned" hunt. The place is fenced in. Where's the sport in that? Hey! sounds like FAKE hunting to me.
He's even been busted for taking young deer with bait and had no tag in California.

I live near Ted here in SC MI. I have heard the story many times how he escaped the draft....I have seen him in concert once....it was a new yrs concert at Wings stadium in Kazoo 1978 I think.....also seen him many time on the road...hard to miss in his zebra stripped bronco.....passed him on MI. ave just outside of Jackson....we both threw our arms out the window and waved.....back in the 70s I had long hair down to my ass....I got mistaken for him a few time out to Swains lake just outside of Concord.....a lot of people like him and a lot of people dislike him.....as a musician I respect his work.
