Ten-Tec Sold?

Not everything made is China is crap.

True. Once in a while they screw up and something comes out better than they planned. :ROFLMAO: Seriously however I do know what you mean but you have to be REALLY careful about what you buy if it was truely designed and made in China. Most stuff simply assembled in China but designed to high spec by an outside manufacturer are pretty good however usually still inferior to other places. Yaesu had radios made in China for sometime after the big earthquake and tsunami several years ago and may still. The quality was very good however upon close inspection you could see a little less care was taken in solder flux removal and lead dressing. I'd still buy it.

My buddy that just bought a Ten Tec Omni VII last year isn't too happy about the sale. He also mentioned that they charge 110 dollars an hour for repair work these days. Not sure how that compares to other manufacturers though. His has been back twice for repair (under warranty).

Many years ago Yaesu was charging $70 or 80 an hour from their Bellevue Washington repair facility. That was MANY years ago and have since moved their repair shop to Cypress California. Although high $110/hr is about right for this kind of service work.
