I recently had DTB set me up a Cobra 19 Plus with a MOSFET final. I sold my Ford Explorer and got a Subaru Forester a few months ago. I am 6'5" I did not want to bolt anything to the dash or console due to leg room issues. My wife will use the CB, but does not want the vehicle to look like I am trying to talk to the space shuttle. She thought an old Cobra 19 plus, the silver faced one with push buttons for channels, was "cute". It will fit between the passager seat and the console of the Forester. DTB set me up with the hot rod Cobra 19 with MOSFET finel. I travel 68 mile round trip to work daily between PA and WV. The Forester has a 5 1/2 foot Francis on a ball mount at the drivers rear fender. "Wife thinks it looks like a factory install. so the remote control car look is OK." The little radio keeps up with anyone I have talked to without issues- local bases and truck drivers. I spoke with a tech at the big local truck stop prior to sending the old radio to DTB. He replied that it would be a waste of money and I should get a real radio. DTB setup the little Cobra to meet the application that I am very impressed with the radio's performance- the Cobra 19 still runs with the stock mic, too.
