After some thought of a base station radio, I finally think I have created something I like. I bought an old Dak mark 4 that was dead.
First oder of business was to strip the Dak. I then removed the power supply and installed a 20 amp supply. I had a nice superstar 3900 laying around so stripped it and installed the chassis. It was a nice fit. It is a single final version but that is ok.
Some of the modifications I am doing.
Varible power
10 kc jump switch
Connex echo board (from a original connex 3300)
Maybe, note I said maybe. Adding a small amp to the rig. I have a very small 50 watt amp I may install.
I am going to have to look around for a set of knobs so everything matches. Then figure out what to do with the dual knobs. They look a little out of place.
I will post some pics as it moves along and comes together.
