I recently purchased a pre-amplifier and the installation process was easy and straightforward. My previous setup, the TUG-8, was not amplified and the head element had been replaced with a stock Cobra element by the previous owner. However, I was able to replace it with an element from a broken D104-M6B and the output was just as good. as my other amplified tug-8. The ability to adjust the treble and bass settings really made a difference. Now, I'm just waiting for the skip.
