I have a toptek pa 500 and cannot get 500 watts of it for 50 watts input ssb on 14 mhz into a dummy load...., amp is clean inside with no burnouts visible, there are adjustment points, but having no info on the said unit, i am reluctantant to play with it.,anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for the info, i had a tech guy check the amp out even though i am no slouch with electronics, he informed me that the finals had at one point been changed for matching lower gain 2879 units, i checked , whoever did replace them fooled me lol.he did adjust the bias as it was a bit low, i do get get more than 200 watts out of it on 10 m for 25 watt drive, the original label on the bottom states 50 watts max ssb and 25 watts cw , the inside is very clean, no scorch marks etc, i am very conservative about running anything flat out, it does get hot quite quick i must admit , the internal fan works but seems pointless being on the wrong side of the heatsink. its defo a keeper
