I was asked if I thought anyone would be interested in a very large crank-up tower. I had to tell this person that I would think so, but there probably wouldn't be a crowd banging on his door in the morning, sort of. I'm beginning to wonder now. I would be interested but simply have no place I could put it up (local regulations). So, I want some opinions about it.

This thing is huge. It's a 'Tri-ex'(?) tower, crank-up, 120 feet tall. It's steel, weighs a ton (closer to two), and definitely can't be hauled off in the back of your pickup! The owner has all the normal information about it and has even talked to the man who designed it (and who still makes them). It really is NOT in bad shape at all. But it's huge! The retail price was in the neighborhood of $30K (believe that, or not!). No idea what the selling price could be used (several 'K', but not $30K!).
So, what do you think? I'm not going to hold my breath, but if you are seriously interested, let me know. Depending on the 'bargaining', I'd even deliver it (if enough beer were offered as a bribe?).

That's the manufacturer. Didn't see this particular tower listed, though it is more than three years old(?). Think the model is a 'TH-7-122' or something like that? I'd go look but it's dark and my neighbor's dogs (my buddies, by the way) like to look 'down' on things in -their- yard, meaning you'd better be on your knees begging very hard not to get bit. I just don't wanna know that badly.

Would you deliver it to my yard for a couple 24's of real good Canadian beer? I'll even throw in a case or two of some of the imported American beer we get. :D

Just from looking at this one laying next door I'd have to agree with you. I just wish I had the room to put it up.

Up-Date

After a strenuous marathon of bargaining, wheedling, taking turns cussing each other, and all that stuff, I'm the new owner of a 120 foot tower and a 50 foot tower. Now just have to figure out how to get 2 tons of tower from that yard to this yard. (The 50 footer isn't a problem, I can carry that thing.) He even threw in the base plate, tilt-over, and a couple of feed line stand-offs. Wonder why I did that?
