I just aquired an old transel killer 500 amplifier. The amp at least needs a new power switch as the red push bottom on/off will not stay in . The amp has'nt been used in 8-10 years and is pretty drity . Im hope to get the unit up and running soon. I just brought the HV up slowly useing a variac and all seems fine for now. Removed the tubes and now cleaning the unit . This amp uses 2 6Kd6 tubes Driving 3 572b tubes and is very heavy. Has anyone else owned one of these ? If so with good tubes what power out should i expect from it ? Also does any one have an old transel amp there parting out ? I would like to find a red bank of push bottom switchs that are used in some of transel's .
