So does anybody know the model number on the very first 40 channel Midland walkie talkie ? ? ? Or perhaps the 2nd even ? I'm liking an older one I have being a 13-727 and would like to find a vintage 40 channel by Midland but the FIRST 40 channel appeals to me style wise and everything.

Any info to point me to the right one for sure and even better someone here has it for sale for reasonable price...

Thanks in advance for any help, Retro waving 73's

According to the information I have available, the last 23 channel Midland W-T was the model 13-796, introduced in 1975. There was a Sams writeup on that model in Volume 71. Midland did not produce a 40-channel W-T until the model 75-784 in 1992. The 2nd 40-channel model was the 75-790. Neither of these are in the Sams. I think your 13-727 is a 2 watt 3-channel model made in 1975 or so. It was written up in Sams Vol 73.
