FWIW sunlight will not erase the EPROM unless you have a LOT of time to wait like days or even weeks depending on the UV radiation. It requires direct and intense ultra-violet light. Pick up an old black light or even just the bulb from any hardware store. A black light is an ultra-violet light. It should do the job fairly quickly I would think.
