Typical Oxymoron.........

Our local Gander Mtn firearms store has tons of ammo..literally, except for .22. I don't get it really. It's like people are still in panic mode when it comes to .22 ammo.

I keep watching sites like Natchez and Cabela's and have in the past few months have been able to score .22 bricks for about .05-.06 cents a round. Man they sell out fast and oh sure they may limit you to one 500 round box per customer per day but, my dogs are good about letting me use their names to order a brick for them. Both have their own Cabela's account now ;)

This website helps track which retailers have what in stock.....Natchez and Cabelas pop up every now and then. There is mostly high end match ammo in stock but every so often you'll find something at a good price.

That's what I use to nail the .22 but man you have to be fast. Deals usually appear when they are already sold out most of the time.

Wow! I rarely shoot, but did recently on my son's Boy Scout campout. Prices had gone up for both 20 ga. shotgun and 22 shorts between the time we signed up/paid for camp, and by the time we got to the camp. Looked it up at a local favorite place in Fort Worth, and you guys are right!

OUT OF STOCK.

Brett

What's the deal over .22 rim fire and availability? I must have missed something. I have a veritable fortune in all of the magazines here. I have three 100 round magazines for Ruger 10-22 plus four 50 round magazines. Is there some sort of panic buying for some reason?

Yep! it's been rough trying to get .22 rimfire. Hoarders and preppers are hogging it all. I have a good bit that I had laying around. I really enjoy taking the kids out to the farm and plink a brick or two. It's about all I can afford to shoot anymore. When I take a .22 out, I can't just shoot a few rounds, I have to crack off a brick or more,

Damn fun stuff plinking with a .22

The wife and I just got back from Dick's Sporting Goods And we bought three boxes each of .22 rim fire. 150 rounds each, but not cheap. The grand total for the ammunition was $44.46. But it was available none the less. So now we are going to the range tomorrow for a little target practice.
